If for some reason I arrive in Panama without a tourist card, will I be denied entrance to the country?

Citizens of the United States and Western Europe do not need a visa but will require a passport. Your airline will sell you a $5 tourist card prior to the international portion of your flight to Panama City. If for some reason they don’t offer it, you should ask, or be prepared to buy it at the airport in Panama before you stand in line for immigration. If your children are traveling with only one parent, Panama, like many other countries, requires a notarized letter of permission from the other parent.

If for some reason I arrive in Panama without a tourist card, will I be denied entrance to the country?
No. The immigration officer will direct you to officials that will sell you a tourist card. (There is a little podium-style desk just before the immigration queue…you can buy your tourist card there.)
